The City Council meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. Members of the public are encouraged and invited to participate in these meetings. 

Public Participation at City Council Meetings 

For in-person attendance, Council Chamber doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. City Council meetings may be viewed online beginning a 6:00 p.m.

To watch the live stream or archive of a meeting on the City’s website,  click on the “Watch Meetings Online” button. To watch the live stream or archive of a meeting on YouTube, enter “Agoura Hills City Council” and click on the date of the meeting or click on the links below.

Public Participation (Public Comment) at City Council Meetings
All interested parties are cordially invited to participate in open and public meetings as follows:

Option A:  To provide public comment in-person in the Council Chambers 
Members of the public have an opportunity to attend the meeting in-person in the Council Chambers and speak or submit a written comment on any item listed on the Agenda. If you wish to speak, complete a Speaker’s Card for each item and submit to the City Clerk prior to the public comment portion of the item. Public testimony is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker; a speaker’s time may not be transferred to another speaker. Written public comments submitted at the meeting are not read aloud by the City Clerk. Please silence all cell phones and other electronic devices during the meeting.

Option B:  To submit written public comments prior to the meeting 
Members of the public have an opportunity to submit email correspondence on any item listed on the Agenda by sending an email to: comments@agourahillscity.org by 4:00 p.m. on the meeting date*.  Emailed public comments will be distributed to the City Council prior to the meeting for their consideration. Public comments are not read into the record.

*Please note: any public comments received after 4:00 p.m. on the meeting day will not be considered as part of the City Council's deliberations or entered into the official record. In this instance, it is recommended the public share their comments in-person live at the meeting.  

For Public Hearings - All interested parties are cordially invited to participate in a Public Hearing using any of the in-person or virtual options listed above. Applicants will have 15 minutes for their presentation and 5 minutes for rebuttal after public comment. 
 
Viewing Archived Webcasts of Past Meetings
 
City Council meetings are televised and are shown on Channel 10 for Time Warner Cable subscribers, Channel 3 for Charter subscribers, and Channel 99 for AT&T U-Verse subscribers, at a later date, and run daily until the next regularly scheduled meeting. The broadcast schedule is as follows: M-10am; T-3pm; W-10am; Th-7pm; F-10am; S-3pm; and Su-7pm. 


Past meetings may be accessed at any time by clicking on the link below or via the City’s website at  agourahillscity.org and clicking on "Watch Meetings Online" at the top of the webpage and then selecting the meeting from the list. Videos of past meetings are archived permanently. The linked agenda staff reports are archived for the current year plus one. New Voting Equipment Demonstration - Coming to the Agoura Hills Library

Get familiar with the voting equipment during a demonstration/test period. The equipment will be available to all members of the public at the Agoura Hills Library starting Thursday, February 6th and Friday, February 7th from 9am to 5pm both days. 

The Agoura Hills Library is located at 29901 Ladyface Court in the Agoura Hills Civic Center. Questions regarding this demonstration can be referred to City Clerk, Kimberly Rodrigues at (818) 597-7303 or Krodrigues@ci.agoura-hills.ca.us
