Illece Buckley Weber moved to Agoura Hills in 1992 with her husband, Joe, and their two children, Sara and David, for its excellent schools, open space and a community with a small town feel. Soon after moving to the City, she became involved in the Fountainwood Homeowners Association and became an active parent at each of her children’s K - 12 schools.
Illece embraced the natural beauty of Agoura Hills and strived to protect and enhance its uniqueness. Her desire to serve the community led to her appointment to the Agoura Hills Planning Commission in 2006 until she was elected to the City Council in 2011 (re-elected in 2015 and 2020.)
Illece has served on all of the City’s subcommittees with an emphasis on Public Works, Environmental Sustainability and Community Services. She serves as the Agoura Hills representative on the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Advisory Committee (served as vice chair and chair) and the CalCities Environmental Quality Policy Committee (currently chair and served as vice chair), was proud to be the City’s Mayor in 2015 and 2020 and has enjoyed her involvement with many of the organizations that call the Conejo Valley home.
Illece obtained both her Bachelor’s degree and her law degree from the University of Denver. Until she retired in July 2024, she had a civil litigation practice in Agoura Hills.
Illece is an avid birdwatcher, loves cycling, reading, traveling the world and spending time with family.
