Election Results
Vote Centers and Ballot Drop Boxes closed at 8pm on Election Day (11/5). The County will continue tabulating until all ballots are processed (28 days). Updated election results can be viewed on the County's website daily between 3:30-4:00 p.m. and a live feed is available to view the continued ballot processing at the County's facility (links below). The County's Official Canvass schedule can be found here with the final update anticipated for December 2, 2024. The Official Canvass will be presented to the Agoura Hills City Council for adoption at their Reorganization Meeting scheduled for December 11, 2024.

Pursuant to 21004(a) of the Agoura Hills Municipal Code (AHMC), "No candidate, including the candidate's controlled committee, and no committee primarily formed to support or oppose any such candidate or candidates, shall accept any contributions more than eight (8) calendar months prior to any election in which the candidate is attempting, or has qualified, to be on the ballot or is a write-in candidate."
The Agoura Hills General Municipal Election will be held November 5, 2024, for two (2) seats on the City Council. The City is contracted with the County of Los Angeles for election services. As of the Secretary of State's Randomized Alphabet Drawing on Thursday, August 15, 2024, following is the official order on the ballot for the three (3) qualified candidates:

- Penny Sylvester - Appointed Incumbent
- Artin Sodaify - Attorney/Business Owner

Voting Options for Elections
Special Notice: SB 25 "reversed" the order of the ballot in LA County (E.C. Section 13109.8). As such all local contests will appear FIRST on the ballot (i.e., Council candidates for Agoura Hills will appear first on the ballot, not at the end of the ballot).

How to Return your Ballot...
There are multiple options on how to return your ballot: Option 1) By mail, remember no postage is necessary; Option 2) In-person at any Vote by Mail drop box location; and Option 3) In-person at any designated Vote Center in Los Angeles County. See below for detailed information on the three options.

Option 1
Vote By Mail (VBM)
- All registered voters in Agoura Hills have the option to vote by mail.
- Voters have the option to become a permanent Vote by Mail Voter.
- Remember, no postage is necessary. Make sure your ballot is complete.
- Voters must sign the eligibility oath and date the VBM return envelope.
- MAIL IN YOUR BALLOT EARLY - must be postmarked by Election Day (November 5).

Option 2
Drop off Completed Ballot at an Official VBM Ballot Drop Box
Per California State Executive Orders, all L.A. County Voters will be mailed a Vote by Mail (VBM) ballot. Agoura Hills registered voters may drop off their completed ballots at any Official Ballot Drop Box location in the County of Los Angeles. In partnership with the Los Angeles County Elections Division, a 24-hour Official Ballot Drop Box was installed (September 9, 2020) and is available at the Agoura Hills Civic Center (City Hall). Los Angeles County registered voters may drop their completed official VBM ballots at this (or any other) designated safe and secure Official Ballot Drop Box location(s) beginning October 7. County elections officials will coordinate the safe and secure pick up of ballots throughout the voting period. Ballots are picked up on a daily basis through election day. How to Track your Ballot
Receive personalized text messages, emails and/or automated voice messages on your Vote by Mail ballot by subscribing to Where's My Ballot. Request a Ballot in a Different Language
L.A. County provides full language service and/or assistance in up to 18 multilingual languages. To request your ballot or election materials in another language please call the County's Multilingual Services Section at 800-815-2666, option 3.
Signature Verification Statement
We understand as years go by your signature is bound to change. If the signature on your Vote by Mail return envelope doesn't match what is in the County's voter registration database they will notify you by mail and ask you complete and return the Signature Verification Statement. Your signature is required to verify your identity and process the ballot.
Forgot to Sign the Envelope for your Vote by Mail Ballot?
If you returned your Vote by Mail ballot without signing the return envelope the County will mail you a document called the "Unsigned Ballot Statement" asking for your signature. Your signature is required to verify your identity and process the ballot.
Option 3
Vote In-Person at a Vote Center (or Drop off Completed Ballot)
Recruitment and selection of Vote Centers for the upcoming General Municipal Election are underway. Agoura Hills registered voters may vote in-person at any Vote Center within Los Angeles County. Vote Centers will open as early as October 26. Vote Center Locations locations can be found here. (Vote Center hours will be 10am-7pm until Election Day. On Election Day, Vote Center hours will be 7am-8pm. Voters may also drop off their completed ballot (sign the outside of the sealed envelope) at any Vote Center.
Safe In-Person Voting

Voters will have up to 10 consecutive days and Election Day to vote in-person at ANY participating Vote Center in the County. Select All 11-day Vote Centers will be available beginning October 26. Vote Centers will be open every day from 10 AM to 7 PM during the early voting period. On Election Day, Vote Centers will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM.
Speed Up Your Check-in at the Vote Center
Reduce time checking in at the Vote Center by scanning your Quick Check-in Code.
After entering your personal information your unique check-in code (barcode) will appear under your registration information. Show your code to the Election Worker when at the Vote Center to instantly check in. Your Quick Check-in Code is also printed on your mailed Sample Ballot and Vote Center postcard. You may take either of those hard copies to the Vote Center as well.
