Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing on Highway 101

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

Crews are constructing sound walls and concrete barriers on the wildlife crossing above traffic lanes. Crews are removing temporary supports (steel beams, timber posts and diagonal bracing) next to traffic lanes under the wildlife crossing.

• Night work is scheduled Tuesday to Friday, Nov. 12-15.
• Daytime work is scheduled Friday, Nov. 8, and Tuesday to Friday, Nov. 12-15.
• The schedule is subject to change due to weather or operational reasons.

SCHEDULED CLOSURES

Friday, Nov. 8 through Monday, Nov. 11:

Due to expected traffic over the Veterans Day holiday weekend, there are no freeway lane closures scheduled from Friday, Nov. 8, to Monday, Nov. 11.

Tuesday through Friday, Nov. 12-15:

• After 10 p.m., two lanes in either direction on Highway 101 may be closed at times in the construction zone near Liberty Canyon Road, leaving two northbound lanes and two southbound lanes open for traffic.
• After 11 p.m., a third southbound lane may be closed at times, leaving at least one lane open for southbound traffic at all times.
• After 11:59 p.m., a third northbound lane may be closed at times, leaving at least one lane open for northbound traffic at all times.
• All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. each morning.
• The Northbound 101 Liberty Canyon On-Ramp and the Southbound 101 Liberty Canyon Off-Ramp may be closed after 7 p.m. and will be open by 6 a.m. the next morning.

Friday, Nov. 8 through Monday, Nov. 11:

Due to expected traffic over the Veterans Day holiday weekend, there will be no freeway lane closures scheduled from 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, to 11:59 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11.

CLOSURE HOURS

When construction operations for this project require closures of lanes or ramps, the following schedule applies on an ongoing basis until further notice:

• The Southbound 101 Liberty Canyon Off-Ramp and the Northbound 101 Liberty Canyon On-Ramp may be closed after 7 p.m. and usually will be open by 6 a.m. every morning.
• Starting at 7 p.m., one lane on Northbound 101 may be closed. Starting at 8 p.m., one lane on Southbound 101 may be closed.
• Starting at 10 p.m., two lanes may be closed in either direction. A third lane may be closed southbound after 11 p.m., and northbound after 12 a.m. (midnight). At least one lane in each direction will be open for traffic.
• By 5 a.m., all freeway lanes (excluding exit/entrance lane) will be open.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather or operational reasons.
