General Municipal Election, November 5, 2024

The next Agoura Hills General Municipal Election will be held November 5, 2024, for two (2) seats on the City Council. The City is contracted with the County of Los Angeles for election services.

The official nomination period closed at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, for  for Member of the City Council. The Secretary of State held their Randomized Alphabet Drawing on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and the official order of the three qualified candidates on the ballot is as follows:

• Kate Anderson - Director/Planning Commissioner 
• Penny Sylvester - Appointed Incumbent 
• Artin Sodaify - Attorney/Business Owner 

Pursuant to 21004(a) of the Agoura Hills Municipal Code (AHMC), "No candidate, including the candidate's controlled committee, and no committee primarily formed to support or oppose any such candidate or candidates, shall accept any contributions more than eight (8) calendar months prior to any election in which the candidate is attempting, or has qualified, to be on the ballot or is a write-in candidate."

The following are distributed to the prospective candidate in-person at the nomination appointment:

The following electronic fillable forms are required to be completed, printed, and signed by the Candidate prior to making an appointment to file their nomination papers with the City Clerk:

         Form 10 - Local Campaign Contribution and Expenditure Disclosure (typed/printed form required)
         Form 20 - Local Campaign Contributions Disclosure (typed/printed form required) 
         Form 30 - Local Campaign Expenditure Disclosure (typed/printed form required)
         Form 40 - Local Campaign Contributions Disclosure (typed and emailed to City Clerk)
         Form 50 - Local Campaign Contributions Disclosure - Form 470 Filers 
         Form 50/A - Local Campaign Expenditures Disclosure - Form 470 Filers 

     • Ballot Designation Worksheet, includes AB 1090 (typed/printed/signed form required)
     • Candidate Statement Form, Nonpartisan Offices (typed/printed/signed paper and electronic required)
     • Notice to Persons Submitting Candidate Statements
     • Provisions of the Code of Fair Campaign Practices (printed/signed form required)
     • Transliteration Form (typed/printed/signed form required)
