The Agoura Hills Cultural Arts Council, along with the Director of Community Services, serves as the members of the Public Arts Committee. The committee is responsible for overseeing the Arts in Public Places program, and taking the lead on purchasing art for the City’s collection. Currently, there are eighteen pieces in the City’s collection, with a few new ones coming soon. The collection includes a variety of pieces from sculptures to paintings, murals and more! With an incredible group of well-known artists and variety of magnificent artwork, your personal Art Tour through Agoura Hills will certainly be memorable!

On February 11, 1998, the Agoura Hills City Council adopted a resolution establishing procedures and guidelines for an Art in Public Places program. The City Council recognized, at the time, that aesthetic enhancement and enrichment of the community would come by including fine art throughout the city. The goal of the Arts in Public Places program is to provide a collection of nationally recognized permanent art work that includes a wide range of quality art work styles, themes, and media.
