You simply need to contact At Your Door Special Collections at (800) 449-7587, to make an appointment.  If appointments are full for the current month, your appointment will be scheduled for the following month..  As an added convenience, residents also have the ability to schedule via At Your Door's web site.  Residents simply log on to http://www.wmatyourdoor.com/ and go to the “schedule appointment button” and follow instructions.  You can also set up an appointment by email, atyourdoor@WM.com.   

At Your Door Special Collections will send you a collection Kit to place acceptable items inside the bag.  The Kit includes a heavy gauge plastic bag, an instruction sheet, survey card, labels for unlabeled containers, a plastic tie for the bag, as well as a list of acceptable and non-acceptable items.

Curbside will accept most household chemicals and hazardous waste materials, but not every type of item.  Most common items are accepted.  Curbside can only accept what fits inside the Bag provided in the Kit sent to residents after an appointment is made. 

Non acceptable items include ammunition, explosives, asbestos, etc. 

Yes. The program does accept sharps; however, for safety purposes they must be inside sealed rigid containers before placing them into the Bag.

Place your items to be collected in the sealed bag on the ground, near either your entrance door, or the place it will be collected from.  DO NOT PLACE IT NEAR THE CURB OR STREET

Insure that the sealed bag is available for collection at the designed location by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.  

**Placing it out at a later time could result in your items not being picked up.  At Your Door may not be available to return and collect your items.**

Yes.  There are several items that can be placed outside the bag.  They are: automobile batteries (unlimited), florescent tubes (limit: 5), and electronics (TV's, computers, CPUs, monitors, microwaves, etc.)

The program is set up to accept only those items that can fit into the bag and be properly secured. 

If you have more waste, you will need to schedule another appointment.   The space available in the collection trucks limits the collection quantity.
