Goal 9: Decrease GHG Emissions through Increased Clean Energy Use
Clean energy, also known as renewable energy, comes from constantly replenishing natural resources such as wind and sunlight (NRDC). Unlike gas and other fossil fuels, using renewable energy results in zero or near zero GHG emissions (UN). Homes and businesses that run on solar panels and use energy storage systems provide environmental and economic benefits directly to the community. Agoura Hills is also a part of the Clean Power Alliance (CPA), a Community Choice Aggregate that purchases renewable energy that’s delivered to residents by SoCal Edison.
